BCN Sports Film school sessions

Welcome to the school sessions of the BCN Sports Film Festival.

One of the objectives of the BCN Sports Film Festival is to teach how to enjoy and learn through sport. These sessions are made up of international audiovisual projections, which show the various realities of the world through sport.

The main objective of these school screenings is reflection on issues such as immigration, health, stereotypes, bullying, performance or gender diversity. For this we count on the collaboration of FILMCLUB, an entity that promotes learning through audiovisuals, which has collaborated in developing the pedagogical files in accordance with the themes and ages of each session.

Come to the Olympic Museum and enjoy the face-to-face session and the free visit to the Museum or select the ONLINE sessions and work on it in the classroom or virtually.

Session 1 – From 6 to 8 years

Small productions that will teach, in a playful way, the values of sport to the school public.

Session 2 – From 9 to 10 years

The characters in these funny short films will teach boys and girls the value of teamwork, family support or the obstacles an athlete must overcome.

Session 3 – From 11 to 12 years

Productions that invite us to dream and fight for our goals, even if, in order to do so, we sometimes bump into barriers.

Session 4 – From 13 to 14 years – Values through sport

This session promotes values that are very present in sport: fair play, integration or collaboration are some of the things you will be able to work on in this session.

Session 5 – From 14 to 16 years – Becoming aware

Becoming aware of the consequences of living in conflict, whether due to war, to living in marginal spaces or due to overprotection due to fear, opens a window to find solutions and fight for the desires of the protagonists.

Session 6 – From 16 to 17 years – Gender diversity and stereotypes

Barriers are not always physical. Exclusion rules, physical adversities or sexual tendencies are sometimes impediments that can affect personal and sporting development.

Session 7 – From 12 to 17 years – Breaking barriers. Out of stereotypes!

Through the story of soccer player Alexia Putellas, we can work across aspects that directly affect women's sports: stereotypes, family reconciliation, gender diversity and the struggle to have a place in a hostile environment as is the case of women in the world of football.
